Re Reference for Beacon Homes

This is to inform you that our agency has been placing children in the Beacon Home program and residence tor the past three (3) years. We have found all the staff easy to work with and very helpful with providing a Positive atmosphere for your girls.

Any requests for documentation were met in a timely manner and case planning management have been a joint effort,

I found the residence to be attractive and well maintained. The girls have a choice in the decorating of their rooms. The girls seem to enjoy this as it gives them a feeling of belonging,

The dedication ot the staff to keep track of their girls and go out ot their way to keep them safe speaks highly of the dedication the staff and management have towards the girls in their core.

I f you have further questions please do not hesitate to call. Karen Tio.

To Whom It May Concern

My name is Pam Myers and I am a Resource Services Worker at the Children's Aid Society of Oxford County in Woodstock, ON. Our Agency has used Beacon Homes for the past several years and have enjoyed a strong working relationship with them. Children's Service Workers have appreciated the dedication that the staff at Beacon Homes has shown to our challenging young ladies and have enjoyed working with the Agency as a whole.

As a Resource Worker, I have appreciated how quickly Esther Aiken and/or staff are able to respond to a call when a potential referral Is being made and how they are able to identify that a youth may or may not be a good fit for their program. Beacon Homes has worked with a few of our most challenging teen girls, and they have done a great job of stabilizing them and then working on various treatment goals.

Over the past 2 years, our Agency has not been able to make many referrals to Beacon Homes, This Is only due to the proximity of the program to our Agency. If they were closer to our County, we would certainly use them on a more consistent basis.

If you have any questions or with to contract me, please call me at 1-800-250-7010 ext 361.

Beacon Home has proven to be a reliable and effective group home setting for females. I have utilized this home for clients and worked with Beacon Home's staff over the last 8 years while practicing child protection.

Beacon Home is very professional and efficient in the delivery of services and programs to clients that have resided in this home.

f would recommend Beacon Home without hesitation to fellow employees and would gladly answer any request for further information.

To Whom It May Concern

Some of the girls from Beacon Home started to volunteer for King's Kitchen about a year ago. They work very hard preparing meals for members of our community. I would have to say their favourite part is serving. Last week they helped serve 205 people supper!

As the Volunteer Coordinator for King's Kitchen I have gotten to know the girls from Beacon Home. When I drop in for visits both the girls and staff members are welcoming.

Beacon Home takes care of the girls' basic needs, but the staff teach them about responsibilities and life skills, like cooking and gardening. The staff also care enough to develop their interests and personalities, by getting the girls involved in their community and taking them to different volunteering and community events where they can learn new skills and meet new people.

Beacon Home is like a family. They celebrate holidays and birthdays. They care about their development and their futures. They are committed to these girls and it shows!

Sincerely -
Sue Torrance
